Urban Eden beauty and Covid-19
Amy and I are so excited that we can finally go back to the salon and see all our wonderful clients, its been a very long 16 weeks!
It hasn't all been sunshine and cocktails though we have been hard at work preparing for your return. We have invested a lot of time and energy into the smooth running of the salon with new Covid19 secure procedures, we have gone above and beyond what has been asked of us by the UK Government to ensure that you feel safe, relaxed and comfortable on your next salon visit. All members of the team have had Barbicide and Mundo disinfection and Covid training, new Covid-19 risk and legionalla risk assessments and tests have been carried out and the salon has been reconfigured to allow for social distancing measures.
What can you expect at your appointment?
Prior to your appointment you will be sent a text with a link to fill out a Covid-19 Health check consultation, please feel this out before arrival.
Please arrive alone for your appointment, except in the case of carers, no under16's will be permitted in the salon unless they have an appointment.
Please arrive on time for your appointment and not early, we no longer have a waiting area. Please wait outside the salon under the canopy and out of the rain (its inevitable) until one of the team is ready to welcome you back.
On entering the salon you will have your temperature read with an infra red no contact thermometer, if you have a fever you will be asked to return home.
Once inside the salon one of the team will direct you to hand washing facilities (either the cloakroom or hand washing area in the salon. Touch free soap and paper hand towels are available. Please then sanitise your hands with sanitiser provided.
You will be asked to wear a mask for the duration of your appointment except with certain medical conditions and during a back massage. Pleas wear this throughout your time in the salon. This must cover your mouth and nose, you may use your own or we will provide you with one.
Toilet facilities are available and checked regularly.
Please refrain from bringing ANY food or drink to your appointment other than bottled water, we can also supply this during your appointment.
Remember to relax and enjoy your treatment with us.
Please follow your Therapists instruction throughout your appointment and allow them to open doors etc for you, this helps minimise client touch points.
Your treatment will then commence, for nails and toes we will be using disposable files, towels and pedicure liners. For all beauty room treatments involving the removal of items of clothing you will be given a brown paper bag. Please place ALL personal items inside and hang on the hook or place on the floor.
Disposable towels will be used for waxing and massage towels will be laundered at a minimum of 60 degrees.
Immediately after your treatment please follow your therapist to reception where you can pay via card, contactless is preferred up to £45 or Apple pay. We regret that we will not be taking cash at this time.
Unfortunately you can no longer wait for polish to dry in the salon but are welcome to wait outside.
Your therapist will make any appointments necessary or you can do this online via our timely app, here you can view, manage and amend all your appointments 24/7 365 days a year.
There is a bin by the door for any dirty PPE you wish to dispose of. Have a great day!
How will the salon look?
We have tried really hard to enhance your visit with us by refurbishing and refreshing all areas of the salon to ensure you still feel relaxed and comfortable throughout your treatments.
What has changed?

Reception has moved to the right of the door to restrict pinch points and restrict client access to retail products, you are still able to purchase but not handle products.
Nail tables now run lengthways and have been reduced to 3 stations to enable social distancing. We will not be using screens but instead wearing visors and masks for all face to face appointments.
A new pedicure area has been created to allow for social distancing.
All salon lights are in the process of being switched to flat, smooth LED light panels.
You can NO longer handle nail varnish bottles or swatches, we will do this for you.
No refreshments other than water allowed.

Bed linens have been removed.
All consumables are stored in sealed boxes.
